Hello! Thanks for your interest. My practice is currently full and I am unable to accept new clients (updated 09/12/24).
Welcome to my practice!
Psychotherapy is a collaborative, goal-oriented process of talking and experiencing emotions in a welcoming and affirming space.
Thoughtfully tailored to meet your individual needs, I integrate an insight-oriented approach with evidence-based skills and behavior-focused therapies (such as CBT and DBT). Mindfulness and/or EMDR may be suggested to clients who might benefit from an emotion-focused, body-based treatment.
Our sessions will address your current concerns, symptoms, and personal goals as well as explore vulnerabilities from your past to develop a deeper self-awareness. Developing insight, in combination with learning motivational and coping strategies, can help people to experience symptom relief and gain momentum to take intentional steps forward toward personal goals.
Clients who tend to be a great fit are seeking help for:
Mental health disorders: anxiety (Panic, GAD, OCD), mood (Depression, Bipolar), addiction/substance use problems, trauma/PTSD (past or recent)
Life transitions: feeling "stuck", adjusting to college or graduate school, job dissatisfaction, grief from loss
Relationship concerns: improving communication skills, understanding attachment styles, navigating dating and marriage
Health and wellness: coping with stress, self-esteem struggles, living with chronic illness/autoimmune disorders, sleep issues, health behavior change goals and motivation

Psychodynamic Therapy is a method of talk therapy where exploring past experiences and current struggles often reveals deeper awareness of aspects of the self (e.g. subconscious emotions, desires, motivations) that were previously not understood before.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) involves learning structured skills to change dysfunctional patterns of thinking and behavior in order to help solve present moment problems.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focuses on learning and practicing behavioral coping strategies; including mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a trauma treatment that facilitates emotional processing of distressing memories via guided bilateral stimulation of the brain, usually with eye movements.

Clinical Health Psychology is a field of Psychology that emphasizes the human mind-body connection. Common interventions include:
Mindfulness-based relaxation training to help activate the body’s natural relaxation response and increase feelings of well-being. Mindfulness is the practice of becoming more aware of one’s physical, mental, and emotional state in the present moment, without judgment. Relaxation techniques can include progressive relaxation, guided imagery, and breathing exercises.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) uses mindfulness and acceptance strategies together with clarifying values and committing to pursuing goals.
Motivational Interviewing (MI) attempts to move an individual towards finding motivation for making positive decisions and accomplishing established goals.
Couples Counseling sessions are informed by Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method. These approaches help couples learn experientially together in sessions how to better understand their emotions and relationship attachment styles and to improve their communication, manage conflicts, and create deeper shared meaning in their relationships.
My practice is an inclusive space for the LGBTQ+, poly, and kink communities. While I am not an expert, I aim to be informed, supportive, and compassionate to everyone, because we are all deserving of love and connection.
